Position Description:

POSITION SUMMARY

Provide onsite digital technical support and coverage in support of the Flowserve Boothwyn QRC. Position will be based at the Boothwyn QRC in PA.

PRINCIPLE ACCOUNTABILITIES

· Primary role will be providing direct digital technical support onsite at customers and for the regional area supported by the Flowserve Boothwyn QRC. The successful candidate should be strong digitally and technically, with solid hands-on field experience and ability to work closely with customers and their teams in the field.

· Provide digital technical support and assistance for control valves, digital products, and automation products.

· Provide Technical Support and Training on all Digital Products and related Software of Flowserve to internal personnel, representatives, EPCs and end-users.

· Develop relationship with key customers to understand their needs, requirements and ways of doing business.

· Work closely with the Digital Products Marketing Managers, Advanced Products Development Group.

· Give effective technical and non-technical sales presentations.

· Work with Order Fulfillment Managers and Field Service Managers to ensure effective After Sales Support

· Travel to customer locations to troubleshoot and repair all Flowserve Control Valve Business Unit products, solicit the sale and installation of spare parts.

· Repair and overhaul competitor’s valves when needed.

· Use of valve diagnostic systems for predictive and preventative maintenance.

· Troubleshoot equipment returned to the factory for failure analysis.

· Answer customer’s questions over the telephone or by e-mail in order to solve problems.

· Analyze parts and equipment that have been returned to the factory for failure evaluation.

· The job requires travel as necessary (up to 80%).

Preferences:

Preference of knowledge :

Experience with Flowserve Advanced Products, computers and electronics. A minimum of three years’ assembly of Valtek valves. Excellent documentation skills regarding service reports and other documentation.

Knowledge about the main FDT Fames {M&M (Flowserve’s frame), PACTware, FieldMate and FieldCare}.

Knowledge about the main DCS and related Asset Management Systems (Emerson DeltaV/AMS; Yokogawa Centum VP/PRM; Honeywell Experion/FDM).

Knowledge about the capabilities, limitations and operation of all Flowserve Digital Products is a plus.

Knowledge about Safety Systems and PST (Partial Stroke Test) is a plus.

Knowledge about the main valve competitors (Fisher, Masoneilan, Metso, Samson, CCI) is a plus.

Knowledge about Control Valves is a plus.

Knowledge about the main valve positioner’s competitors (Fisher, Masoneilan, Metso, Samson, Siemens, ABB, Foxboro) is a plus.

Asset Management Systems:

ValveSight DTM installation and setup in Emerson AMS revision 12.0 and above with DTM Launcher Application.

ValveSight DTM installation and setup in Yokogawa PRM.

ValveSight DTM installation and setup in Honeywell FDM.

ValveSight DTM installation and setup in standalone laptops with various FDT Frames such as M&M, PACTware, FieldMate and FieldCare.

Position Requirements:

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

Complete knowledge analog and digital communications, DCS, and PLC systems.

Proficient knowledge of Digital Communications Protocols – HART, FF and Modbus.

Basic knowledge of Instrumentation and Process control (PID control, flowmeters, different process sensors, transmitters, valves,).

Basic Knowledge of Controls Systems Architecture.

Proficient with Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook).

Proficient with the use of computers, file manipulation and program installation.
